Supporting dogs and their families through ethical, evidence-based behaviour support
Lighthouse Canine Behaviour provides clinical behaviour support for dogs presenting with behavioural concerns that may impact welfare, safety, or quality of life. I work collaboratively with veterinary professionals to ensure behaviour cases are managed ethically, effectively, and in line with current best practice.
I welcome referrals for dogs requiring behaviour assessment, diagnosis, and structured treatment planning, as well as preventative and early-intervention support where appropriate.
What I can offer your clients?
I am an Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist (APBC) and Pre-Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB). I am highly qualified and educated in canine behaviour, having obtained an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Bristol.
For referred cases, I provide:
Comprehensive behavioural assessment and diagnosis
Review of veterinary history and relevant medical factors
Clear formulation of behavioural concerns
Individualised, evidence-based behaviour modification plans
Practical management and welfare-focused recommendations
Owner education to improve understanding and compliance
Written reports shared with the referring veterinary practice
Ongoing client support during implementation
In line with APBC, ABTC and CCAB guidelines, all behaviour consultations are conducted with veterinary referral.

Where behaviour concerns fall outside my scope or require additional intervention, I will communicate this clearly and promptly to both you and the client.

How to refer a client
Behaviour consultations require a valid veterinary referral. When a client approaches me directly, I redirect them to their primary vet to make the referral.
To refer a client, complete the online referral form and attach the relevant clinical notes and medical history.
Once I receive the referral, I will:
Review the referral and clinical information
Unless you specify otherwise on the referral form, I will contact the client directly to begin the assessment process.
Provide a written report back to the referring vet practice following the consultation.

Behaviour Consultations (From £250)
Comprehensive, in-person behaviour consultation at your home (or an agreed location). Includes detailed history taking, vet record review, and a personalised behaviour plan. You’ll gain a clearer understanding of your dog’s behaviour and learn the skills needed to support lasting, positive change.

1-2-1 Training Packages (From £120)
Ideal for dogs not requiring a behaviour consultation, but who would still benefit from the structure of a training plan to achieve their goals. Each package includes a goal-setting session to understand your priorities, a personalised training plan and practical exercises tailored to your dog. You’ll learn clear, effective skills to help your dog succeed.

Rescue Dog Support Packages (From £150)
Designed to help new (or existing) rescue dogs transition smoothly into their homes. Focusing on prevention, settling strategies and early intervention to promote a smooth and successful start. The package includes an in-person assessment and skill-building session, a personalised training plan, email support, and a follow-up session. Optional pre-arrival sessions are available to discuss home setup and introductions.
